Contacted via email to interview and had it over MS Teams a week later. Interview went relatively well, nothing overly positive or negative. Was told they would reach out the following week with an update, whether it was positive or negative news. I followed up 2 weeks later, never heard back. Sent an email the following week, never heard back. After sending one the following week (thinking maybe the person I was reaching out to was potentially on vacation), I again never heard back. While I have been lucky enough to secure a job at an alternative location after this, at the moment I did not appreciate being ignored after explicitly being told that they would contact me with updates, whether or not I secured the job. Was quite unprofessional.
