Mitratech Customer Success Manager (CSM) interview questions

Interview was fairly informal. Interviewer was unable to answer questions about basic aspects of the company, such as what opportunities for advancement at the company look like, etc. When I asked if the interviewer wished for me to clarify anything I had said or that was on my resume, I was told no and that "everything sounded perfect," followed by being told I should have my second interview by the end of the week. The interviewer also told me the full name of the person I would be meeting with later in the week, making me fully believe that I was advancing to the second round of interviews. After sending a follow-up email post-interview to thank them for their time and to express continued interest in the position, I was told that they had decided to move in a different direction, much to my confusion, since I was not even contacted to schedule a secondary interview. Overall, I am disappointed that I was led to believe I had done well and had a good shot at the position, especially in today's job market. This was an unsatisfactory experience, and I believe interviewers should not be falsely getting people's hopes up.
