Not too often you find a company, let alone a Human Resources department, that will actually take your call. Right off the bat I got the feeling that this company was a little different - all in a good way! I applied to an open position online and two days later, I received a phone call. The mid-sized company, come to find, does not scan or pre-screen your resumes; they read them all. If your experience, skill set and passion seem to be a possible fit, you are given a chance to speak with their Human Resources department and possibly meet their team. The interview itself was a cross-functional interview. It was great because I got to meet several different people in numerous departments, all without having to repeat my life's story or summarize my skill set. All in all, my questions were answered and the interview process did not drag on for weeks. My salary was average, but the benefits package was great...not to mention I could bring my dog to work a few times a month!
