I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Mobile Apps Company in Sept 2019
Interview
it started with a phone call, then a personality and aptitude test. After a few days the company called me back with results of the tests. Once I passed the test a Skype interview was schedule and the interview lasted about an hour and a half.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mobile Apps Company (Dayton, OH) in Aug 2018
Interview
Interview took a month or so. The interviewer rescheduled with me 3 times because of emergencies. The job was for an entry level app developer for their clients. They will send you to a boot camp if they offer you a position. There is a 3 step process. 1st is the preliminary interview where they will try to get to know you. Then there is a preliminary technical interview where they ask you questions on the phone about programming of the language of your choice through the list of languages that they give you. Then the last interview is the technical interview where you have to code in front of them of the programming language of your choice. They made me share my screen through skype and I coded a simple sorting algorithm through them with Java. I had 10 minutes to do this.
For an entry level position, they are actually looking for A+ students in college. One small mistake and they will not hire you. My program did not compile (because of syntax issues - my fault) but my logic behind the program was fine. Since it did not compile and run, I was not unfit for the job. I was confused because the job description said I was going to be sent to a boot camp to "sharpen my skills". A small mistake like that and I was not worthy.
(Small background about me - I was working with Rust programming language for awhile for an internship and I have not touched Java in awhile. When they asked me to pick for a language I want to do the interview in, I picked Java because that was the one I was most familiar with on the list.)
