I applied online. I interviewed at Modell's Sporting Goods (New York, NY) in Aug 2016
Interview
They called me in for a job interview, but it wasn't really an interview persay. They took me upstairs are showed me this 20 minute long video on what the Modell's community was like. To be honest, I'd have preferred they walked me through the duties involved with being on the floor, as well as being in the back and at the cash register, as I felt like the learning process of those was really rushed.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The only thing I was asked was when I could start- from my experience and what I've heard, if you're called in for the interview, it's more to make sure you're a capable person then it is putting you through any stringent questioning.
I interviewed at Modell's Sporting Goods (Rockaway, NJ)
Interview
Straightforward, just an interview with the general manager to discuss experience and scheduling / availability. They were able to answer my questions and gave me a response just a few days later.
Light and straight forward process. Not bad for an entry level job. Be aware you will be on your feet at all times. Know how to calculate basic money math and deals
I interviewed at Modell's Sporting Goods (Old Bridge, NJ)
Interview
Interviewer discussed the company's history with me and then asked me questions about sports and the job itself. They also asked me if I had ever shopped at Modell's before.
