I applied online. I interviewed at Moffitt Cancer Center
Interview
Applied Online
Phone Interview - The interview went very well and they provided all the information regarding next steps and said I would be hearing from them in the next 2 week and never heard back. Followed up with HR (who scheduled the interview) and HR said they would check with the hiring manager and get back to me. I never heard back from HR or the hiring manager. Based on other reviews this seems to be typical for the company. Even if I am not a candidate that you would like to move forward with I would appreciate the respect of letting me know.

Question 1
A lot about how I handled specific situations and my management style
I applied online. I interviewed at Moffitt Cancer Center (Tampa, FL) in Aug 2019
Interview
My initial impression with the Moffitt Cancer Center and their interviewing process was quite promising, but it slowly diminished as the process went on. The HR representative was extremely pro-active in setting up my initial interview, second and third interviews. After the third interview with three different meetings (1:1, 1:4, 1:1) expecting to have some correspondance from Moffitt, the committee and HR never returned any of my follow-up emails. Although the process looked promising, the department did not have the courtesy to even return an email in letting me know where they were in the process, after spending hours with them in interviews.. When I finally heard back from Moffitt, an email from an Executive, it was borderline unprofessional in their analysis and reflection of the years of experience and leadership I have to bring to their team. In fact, it was somewhat insulting! I was thoroughly disappointed in the overall process, yet it only demonstrates why this particular department has the challenges they have, good luck! Luckily, I had other options on the table and perhaps Moffitt was not the right fit for either parties. Recommendation: Follow-up within 2 weeks with ALL candidates who interview no matter what. Avoidance and/or lack of communication is not the new normal.

Question 1
Nothing surprising in the interview, typical questions. Interviewers did not seem to have the depth and breadth of how individuals from other industry could assist them in meeting their goals and overall mission.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Moffitt Cancer Center (Tampa, FL) in Mar 2014
Interview
I was approached by a colleague who was leaving MCC, and within a couple of hours had a brief phone interview with the chair of the department. A month later the full-day interview had been set up, with a meet & greet the night of my arrival. The day was spent meeting various individuals throughout the MCC that I would be expected to interact with. The longer process occurred after the interview - the online reference process was a bit more onerous on both me and the people who had agreed to provide references.
