Went through the recruiter process and asked questions as the job description was vague and wanted to know what the hiring manager was looking for. The recruiter explained that the role opened due to person accepting the role being offered more from their current employer that they could not match. The information provided and what was asked did not align. During the interview, the hiring manager was sick, had on a t-shirt, hair was not combed, hacking her lungs up, continuously on and off the video screen. I asked if she wanted to reschedule as she said she looked crusty. I think first impressions are everything, but if you aren't feeling your best and didn't even get decent for the interview, it reflect poorly on the organization. The questions asked were not things I would have been prepared for as again the job posting was vague. She asked about financial auditing and other things that didn't match with what was posted on the job description. It wasn't a great experience and I did go back to the recruiter to provide input on perhaps amending the job description to allow those interviewing to be able to better prepare. I heard nothing back.
