I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at MoonPay
Interview
Pre-screening call with the interviewer should have been a give away. He was dull, uninspiring, and didn't seem interested in me as a potential hire, just another number. If I was hiring staff and he was their first point of contact I would've been worried. Luckily me, I'm more open minded.
Interview was odd. Two interviewers. Very long winded, lacking structure and confusing questions which weren't clear. When asking for clarity, they just repeated the same questions.
This is the first time I've had this in an interview process as a senior. One of the questions was "What's in a Dockerfile"? - What an open ended question, which could include many things such as ENTRYPOINT or ARG, but instead the interviewer was looking for one thing in particular but made no indication of this in his ambigous question. Interview darted from topic to topic without any clear structure, and despite the role hiring for cloud security expertise, most of the questions were focused on application security rather than any kind of native or third party cloud security tooling.
One week on, no feedback, nothing received, not even to say unsuccessful, just ghosted. Says it all really. Ironic as the internal recruiter was hounding me within 2 hours of the interview invite being sent to accept.
