Had an interview and no news for about a month. When I followed up, they initially said that they were still going over the reviews from the interviewers. Then, nothing. Subsequent follow up emails were ghosted. And I just found out that the offer letters were handed out recently via the grapevine. I mean we are all adults, so I can take a no. However, I don't get why they would ghost the candidates. You can even send out mass "thank you for applying but we have decided to move on with other candidates" messages via their automated system. I find ghosting to be very unprofessional to be honest.
