I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mott MacDonald in Jan 2016
Interview
The process took about 1 month. I applied online and did an online test. Then I was invited to finish an online application form. There were three basic questions. I received a phone call about one month after I finished the application been told that I was invited to an interview. The interview last for one hour, have competency questions and technical questions, I was not able to answer one of the technical questions about how to design a roundabout. Maybe thats the reason why I did not get the job.
Very structured with classic strengths/weaknesses based questions, what motivates you, why you applied to the company etc. A couple of technical questions including on safety and risk but nothing requiring calculations.
one on one q and a, composed of technical questions and softcore skills, made to test ones knowledge.
They attempt to see what you want to gain from taking on this job and etc

Question 1
why mott macdonald? and what do you know about our values
The first step involved doing many things as a group - in other words, a group exercise. Together, as a group, we did group-esque things such as group activities. Then I participated in an interview in which my behaviour was assessed in a non-technical manner - commonly referred to as an interview. Hope this helps!

Question 1
They asked me an interesting question about my hobbies outside of my work/student life. I really enjoy doing things outside of work, like my hobbies - which include active exercises.
