Interview
This was the most thorough interview experience I've had! It involved interviews with the recruiter, hiring manager, panels, VP and finally the CEO. To me, this showcased Muck Rack's commitment to finding the perfect fit. Additionally, it gave me great opportunities to connect with various team members across the organization.
The provided slide deck for each stage is incredibly helpful, and the whole process felt standardized and clear, which ensures fairness.

Interview
In terms of the hiring process, I have never had such a positive experience!
First, the job description was incredibly well-written and transparent, including everything from salary range to the specific steps that would be part of the interview and hiring process.
The team was incredibly communicative and never left me feeling like I was in limbo. They were very honest and genuine whenever I had questions, and I truly felt cared for and set up for success. They even sent me materials (slide decks and resources) to help me learn more about the company and prepare for each stage of the process.
The interview process was simple:
1) 30-minute phone screening with the recruiter - This included some basic questions about my experience and skills, why I was looking for a job, and what my salary expectations were.
2) 60-minute interview with the Hiring Manager - The person who would be my supervisor asked me a series of normal behavioral interview questions that were tailored to the role. Then I was allowed to ask my own questions, to which they responded very thoughtfully and honestly.
3) 45-minute presentation - I was asked to walk through one of my Instructional Design projects. Prior to this, I was given an outline of what to go over during the presentation which made it very easy to structure and make sure I was covering what they wanted. During and after my presentation, I was asked a few follow-up questions, mostly for clarification or further details.
4) Culture Interviews - The final step of the process included having 30-minute interviews with 3 different members of the Muck Rack team, each from different roles/departments. This was to gauge my compatibility with the company culture. They asked me some behavioral interview-type questions that were centered around different aspects of the company's core values. This also gave me a chance to ask them some questions about their experience working for Muck Rack and the company culture. This was very helpful, and another way that Muck Rack really demonstrates transparency: by letting you talk to current employees.
I was honestly blown away by how seamless and positive the entire experience was. I didn't hesitate at all when they made me an offer.
