I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Muck Rack (New York, NY) in Sept 2023
Interview
The interview process with Muck Rack was formalized and well-communicated upfront. I knew exactly how many interviews to expect (should I make through all the rounds) and that gave me a sense of how much of my time would be required, and gave me a chance to estimate how long the overall process could be from the first interview to an offer. That being said, I was aware that the process could take a relatively long while, assuming one round per week. I really wanted the position and I knew I might have to turn away any offers that came to me from other companies in the interim. I appreciated having the time with different potential teammates and the fact that they take their processes seriously to find candidates that are very well fit to the role and the company at large.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The technical assessment was a take-home assignment that came in the form of a private GitHub repository, followed by a 30-minute live code review of the assignment once submitted.
Thanks for sharing! Glad to hear the process felt clear and that you understood the time commitment. We really value taking the time to find the right fit, and it’s great to hear you appreciated the chance to meet with the team!

I applied online. I interviewed at Muck Rack in Jun 2023
Interview
I had a very informal but good chat with one of the managers. It was highly focused around the role I was applying for and my past experiences that would benefit that role
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview questions were based pretty closely around the role. They focused a lot on past experience and past problem solving. There was no live coding which was nice.
