      Engagement Coordinator Interview

      4 Nov 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Museum of London

      Interview

The interview process was straight forward, I appreciated having a small panel as larger panels can often feel overwhelming. The team was friendly, but I didn't feel very connected to them or as if they we're particularly warm or as engaging as others I have interviewed with. They clearly care a lot about their work which is great, but also seemed that it was a predominantly white team.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What is it about this role that appealed to you? From your experience, what would you say are the common factors that underpin any successful project working with communities? As a predominantly white organisation, we are committed to embedding anti-racist practice in our engagement work. What kind of things would you do in the role to ensure that this is central to how you work? Please tell us about one project where you have been responsible for coordinating and administering community focused activities working within a team. What was your role and your key tasks? Could you give us an example of a time when you had to manage a conflict or a difference of opinion with another person you were working with? How did you resolve it? What different methods have you used to evaluate previous projects or programmes and what would you say are their pros and cons? What kind of approaches and tools do you use to manage your time effectively and keep on top of heavy workloads?
