I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at N26 (Berlin) in Feb 2016
Interview
30 minute phone call where they asked some detailed questions about experience.
Had to do an assignment they give you in three days. The task was defined adequately but how they wanted the results was not defined well. They expect you to package the assignment like a full project and you can expect for it to take quite a long time to do properly. I only had a few hours to do the task over the weekend, so I focussed on the core task without being able to do the write up and packaging fully.
The response was quite rude and the person you deal with does not have very good interpersonal skills. It sounds like they want you to do the full project for them so they can use it without having to pay you. If you apply for this job be prepared to spend three solid days working and packaging the solution and don't expect very good feedback if unsuccessful.

I applied online. I interviewed at N26 (Berlin) in Oct 2023
Interview
Started with a 30-minute call to get to know each other. Then she asked me to analysis and send it as soon as possible, I asked if they are hiring on rolling basis but she said no we don't and when I asked why you wanted me to send the analysis as soon as possible, she said "The faster you send us the analysis the better the better for you". I spent 30+ hours working on it and made a really good presentation, got an invitation for a 90-minute call with a lead and manager. At this point, I felt like all the comments below were true. I got rejected after this one and the reason for rejection was "My modeling approach is not the best". Please if you're reading this, consider the comments below before applying.
