A recruiter came to my university in October of 2015 and put on a presentation for veteran students. I gave here a hard copy of my resume and applied online, as she instructed. I was contacted via email in November to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was with 3 or 4 individuals from the office with the open position. It was fairly casual and everyone was friendly, which calmed my nerves. I was mostly asked behavioral questions. I can't recall being asked any technical questions. The interview lasted about 30 minutes. In December I was contacted by phone with an offer and I accepted on the spot. I started in January.
