      Corporate Transactions Counsel Interview

      22 Jul 2011
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (New York, NY) in Apr 2011

      Interview

My resume was sent through a referral to one of the managers to which the position reported. I received a call from the corporate recruiter almost immediately and scheduled a phone interview a few days later. The phone interview went well and the recruiter promised to call back and schedule a face-to-face interview with the VP to whom the position reported in the next few days. I didn't hear back. Upon several followup calls, I learned that as a result of the merger the position was put on hold for a period of time. After more followup with the recruiter and the manager , I learned that the position was filled with another candidate. I was a bit disappointed that the promised interview never materialized. However, the recruiter was very nice and helpful.
