The initial contact was made through email, stating that an initial interview was requested on-site at the Peachtree City location. The interview went... alright, but the two interviewers seemed slightly disinterested or preoccupied from the start. They frequently spoke over one another, asked each other questions that were not directed towards me, in the interview setting, and ultimately just did not really seemed organized. We then sat down for a small test trial of Excel proficiency that was unexpected but not entirely off-putting. I actually found it to be a good interview technique in that it caught interviewees off guard and put them on the spot. After that, I was thanked and told to expect another phone interview with the manager of the analyst department that resides in India. That call came the next week, exactly seven days after my initial interview. The discussion was brief, but the manager seemed terse at moments and was frequently sidetracked, lamenting some stories about the NCR hiring process and how they did not meet his expectations of what a growing company should expect. At the end of the phone interview, I was told I would know within a week of my results and what the next step would be. This time period came and went with no correspondence from NCR. Then another week. Then another week. Then another half week until finally I was sent a rejection letter. I was slightly surprised because I felt the interview went well enough and I don't fancy myself a poor or under-prepared interview. The entire process seemed both rushed and not fully developed to bring in new hires.
