Brief interview, questions were more personal e.g. why do you want to work for next, what is your availability, why are you good for the job … didn’t really ask much about experience

Applied online to one of the jobs available and then had a call few days later and it was a woman from the store I had applied to. She said she wanted to 'have a chat' about the role but it was actually a telephone interview/screening. I had already researched the company and the role when I applied so I was prepared for the questions. The woman said she liked my answers so she's in inviting me to a store assessment at the store I applied to. It was for a few days later and she said it lasts for one hour. I went to the store assessment and met the woman from the phone call. She took me in the office and went over application and what I'd said on the phone. She also took my ID and photocopied it. The she took me to the shop floor where she said we were gonna do 3 different things for the assessment and she will be hanging around while I do them. The first thing she got me to do was go onto the ladieswear department and organise some clothes, she said she wants to see how I interact with customers and what I do. She went off and stood somewhere and kept and eye out on what I was doing so I kept in mind I was always being watched. Then the next task was that I had to go and pick out clothes to make an outfit for going to an event of my choosing and I needed to justify why I chose it. The final task was to work with click and collect and she monitored how I did there, the staff on there told me what I should do. Finnally she took me back to the office and said I did really well and she "really liked me" and I would definitely hear back that afternoon she just had to speak with a different manager about shifts. She also gave me a gift card that was for coming to the assessment. 2 days later I got a job offer and told to come in for an induction.
