I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NEXT (Broadstairs, Kent, South East England, England) in Oct 2024
Interview
For me, this interview process was very simple and the team around me made me feel welcome.
At first, I applied to the Next Careers website for the 6 hour weekend shift with my CV and some extra details. I then had to complete a brief maths test it was just basic calculations.
Then a few weeks later I received an email saying that I was going to be scheduled for an over-the-phone interview where they just asked me about myself, what makes good customer service and why I would like to work for the company. This is not as daunting as it seems either, it's very casual and feels more like a 15-minute chat.
They then emailed again asking for an in-person assessment a few days later. When I arrived i was with one other girl who was also being assessed. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was very simple, all I had to do was 2 outfit builds for different occasions, and you got about 15 minutes each to create both so there was plenty of time. For me I got asked 'an outfit for a 4-year-old boy going on a walk in the woods' and 'an outfit for a middle-aged woman shopping today'. One thing i did keep in mind was making sure all the sizes of clothes i picked out were the same just to represent precision incase they checked, they then reviewed the outfits and gave their opinion. Also when doing this add details ie. a scarf, a bag, shoes, etc... Then a few days later I got a phone call and was offered the job. My advice would be to ask lots of questions, show you're paying attention to detail, make conversation with customers around you to check if they need any help, and be sociable with anyone else taking the assessment. Overall it's a really simple process. My only issue was when I got offered the role I had to sign up to the Experian app to register my details, I had a lot of difficulties when doing this as it would not recognize me so at the end we had to try it on an iPad which worked, so if your facing a similar issue I recommend trying a new device.

Interview
I have applied so many times but they never accept my CV. No interview. But I would keep trying. And I even changed my CV three times so I’m not sure what they need.
