My interview was very unorganized and unprofessional. I would say that at first, I felt like I was being mocked based on my qualifications.
The manager that did my interview was nice at first but then started asking me question that didn't even associate with position I was applying for.
During the course of an interview, I felt that she was unprepared for any other questions or any expected questions. Here are some of the red flags I observed:
1. Interviewer hasn't contacted me about confirming my interview via email or a txt message.
2. Manager was not aware that the location posted a listing for the position at initial encounter, but after an interview said "I have a couple of interviews for this role and will contact you when I'm done with those". Different information shows manager was not aware of different changes within organization.
2. Manager asked that I submit references for further consideration but did not provide email address or contact info where to send those.
3. Manager was distracted by coming in customers while conducting an interview. To me that demonstrates a lack of stuffing/scheduling in order to have someone on the floor so that the interview could be conducted on a professional level.
Side note: Most applicant judge by how well and prepared interviewing manager is when they come in for an interview. When manager is unaware of positions listed for their company, that shows a poor attention to detail which is a critical detail both managers and applicants show be aware of.
***Manager asked why I left Company 1. After answering this question with professionalism, manager kept asking why Company didn't promote me and if I talked to them about a reason for not being advanced to an upper-management role. My conclusion from this question is that a manager was skeptical in my qualifications and wanted to get an inside intel/gossip of why I wasn't selected for promotion. Not a professional outlook for me!
