      Communications Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Nasdaq

      Interview

They had me meet with more than a dozen people over the course of 6 months. The conversations were fine - nothing special but I kept advancing so they were clearly going well and there was an excellent culture fit. The HR person assigned to me kept apologizing for the process taking so long and would occasionally wink that I would be getting an offer soon. They would pass me around to different departments, then would ghost me, and then would come back. After me following up several times, just to get some official closure, they finally responded with saying they're still looking to fit me somewhere and will keep me posted. They refuse to officially reject me which I find bizarre. I found their communication style and total lack of respect for my time completely unprofessional. I would never interview there again. This process reflected very poorly on the company. They also pay way below industry standards. What was also bizarre is that throughout the interview process some of the people told me there were much better places to work and it was fairly offputting hearing that while interviewing to work there.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

General questions - there were no hardball questions just know your resume well/concrete examples/really explain why you want to work there vs elsewhere. Their biggest competitor is the Chicago Board of Trade so they basically want to hear how they are better than them, even though they aren't.
