The interview process included applying, taking a very long set of essay question style survey, and talking to a recruiter for a phone screening which went well. Then a phone interview was scheduled. It was for a development role where the person would have to do the marketing, writing, and application all on their own, with no assistants. 3 jobs in one. The interviewer was not forthcoming or friendly. Moreover, they were not full time staff at NOD which rang an alarm about how short-staffed and underpaid this non-profit was... Coordination among interviewers sounded disorganized and they canceled the next interview without explanation. They did not even respond or inform me that they moved on with another candidate when I followed up. It took two weeks to get a straight answer. After all that work, candidates can at least expect a straight response. NOD did not communicate at all.
