I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at National Reconnaissance Office (Chantilly, VA) in Mar 2024
Interview
I applied online at the NRO website. A few days later, I recieved an email invite for a virtual interview through HireVue. Then I never heard anything back. I even tried to email the NRO at their help email address but I never got a reply. No job offer, no rejection letter, no interview feedback. This was three months ago. Horrible experience if a company or agency cannot even update candidates. I would have at least liked an automated rejection email like every other company does now.

Question 1
Describe a challenge you faced and how you overcame it. What did you learn?
I applied online. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at National Reconnaissance Office (Chantilly, VA) in Nov 2023
Interview
You get a 20 minute phone call with scripted behavioural questions and then you get to do an adversarial CI poly where you get harassed about how you're withholding information for hours by a polygrapher when you aren't. All intimidation tactics all throughout the process. HR is very hostile towards applicants. Overall it was not a good experience with HR or security. HR can take however long they want but you have to respond to them immediately with anything they want. HR constantly threatening adverse action to scare you as a candidate from negotiation and very demanding for nonsensical reasons.
