I applied online. I interviewed at Nationwide Title Clearing (Clearwater, FL) in Oct 2019
Interview
Receptionist was friendly. Informed me of a “mini-test” that I would need to take. When I was through with that, I was asked to take a IQ test that I would have 30 minutes to take. The test consisted of 80 multiple choice questions.
Another 15 minute wait and Ashley came to interview me. Ashley was very friendly, explained exactly what the job was, the training, what a typical work day would be like, where employee parking was. Ashley also gave me her card and asked if I knew anyone else that may be interested in a job to email her their resume, she has many positions.
Ashley then asked me if I was available to wait a few more minutes to speak to someone in HR. I agreed.
I apologize I don’t remember the young ladies name that spoke with me next, but she asked me if Ashley explained the job, about the company, and if there were any questions she could answer for me.
I told her that I was very interested and when would I hear back from the company if I had the position, Ashley had informed me that applicants were told either way via email.
The woman told me by end of day Monday. It was Thursday so I was pleased that I would hear back at the beginning of the week. I actually canceled a interview for Monday afternoon because I felt so positive about how things went. By lunch on Tuesday I had not gotten a email.
I didn’t get the email that Ashley sent me about my first email either & did verify in my interview that my email was correct, but maybe as we talked about different things in the interview maybe it wasn’t changed. I called and left a message for Ashley to please verify my email and to please let me know at her convenience if a decision had been made.
It’s now Saturday, and nothing. No call, no email. I even called once more in Thursday and talked to the receptionist, explained exactly what I just wrote, nothing.
I realize I might not be what the company is looking for, I get that. When you tell someone that your going to let them know, then let someone know. Communication and transparency. Culture. Trust. Just some key components that expect from my employer.
Interview process definitely needs to be revamped
