I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Neighborly Software (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2026
Interview
I had a very odd experience interviewing with this company. I was contacted via LinkedIn directly by the Head of HR, we set up a 30 minute phone screen in which she immediately scheduled next steps for an onsite interview in which I was supposed to meet with 4 different team members/company leaders. At the time of the in person interview, the HR Leader came down about 10 minutes late to get me from the lobby. She informed me we were unable to meet in the conference room for an interview we had booked 1 week prior, and would instead meet in a common area off to the side of the buildings lobby. I also never met with any of the panelists I was scheduled to meet with, and only interviewed with the same person I had spoken to previously. The first question she asked me was the same first question she had already asked on our prior phone screen.
When she was late and I was not admitted to the actual office and realized I would also not be speaking with anyone new, I immediately felt like the situation was weird and I wasn’t actually being considered for the role anymore. I am not sure why she couldn’t just call or email before to let me know I was no longer in consideration, and instead chose to waste both of our time with a poor charade of an interview.
I did not expect to move forward after, but also never received the quick send rejection email template either. This was a very poor candidate experience and very surprising coming from a company whose whole mission is to do good for others.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Neighborly Software (Atlanta, GA) in Oct 2025
Interview
Process is very slow. The recruiter is always slow to respond to emails/follow ups. Took 15 days to go from recruiter to Hiring Manager interview. I followed up in between that timeline just to finally get things going, Ghosted after hiring manager interview which was 21 days ago. No response from recruiter
The interviewer was clearly reading email/slack during my responses. They focused a lot of questions on previous features I released and my go-to-market collaborations with marketing. Was told to prep for case study interview, but then that didn't happen. I didn't hear back in the timeframe promised and I knew they had extended an offer to another candidate. An internal candidate was mentioned to me at some point. Heard back a couple of weeks later that I was declined.
Not really worth a review either way, but submitting to satisfy glassdoor.
