I applied online. I interviewed at Nichii Gakkan Company (Ōsaka, Osaka) in Jan 2015
Interview
Pretty much a 2 step interview process, starting with your online application with any necessary back up if you have certain degree or certifications. They will want you to email them as an attachment to your application. The next interview is a skype interview, where they ask you ahead of time to prepare a teaching plan from a list of 3 topics that you will later be ask to present.

I applied through university. I interviewed at Nichii Gakkan Company (Tokyo)
Interview
We had the interview at an office in Tokyo. They asked about my education and reviewed my experience. He asked how I would teach some things. It seemed like a nice interview and the interviewer seemed nice. The only negative I have is that it was one of those situations where I had to email them back afterwards, but they responded after that. That is just nitpicking though; it was an otherwise good experience.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nichii Gakkan Company (Tokyo) in Feb 2016
Interview
It was a Skype interview, and I don't remember much since it was 3 weeks ago, but my interviewer was blasting through the information and questions. It was supposed to be an hour long interview but it was only 23 minutes. The person also told me it would take about 3 weeks to get back with a decision either way, and they were right.
