      Marketing Executive Interview

      7 Jul 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Nightcap in Jun 2026

      Interview

I completed a lengthy multi-stage interview process, including a pre-screen, first-stage interview, and final round. All stages were on Teams. The process was very disappointing and poorly handled by the hiring managers. There were repeated delays, gaps in communication between the recruitment/HR team, and a general lack of consideration for the time and preparation candidates were expected to invest in the final stages. After investing significant effort, the final decision was sent several days later by email, with feedback that felt very vague and inconsistent and was not properly explored at all stages, despite this being offered by myself, the candidate, throughout. Overall, this experience raised concerns about the company’s recruitment process, communication, and approach to candidate engagement. I would not encourage anyone to apply to Nightcap, and even if you’re desperate for a job, future candidates should very carefully consider these factors before committing significant time to the process.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Nightcap in Jul 2023

      Interview

I applied via LinkedIn a week ago and received an upexpected call on Tuesday afternoon asking if it were a bad time for a screening call to which I replied yes and rescheduled the call for Thursday 3rd August. The call lasted 26 minutes and alot of it was me being told that my cv was hard to read along with suggesting I should bullet point my content on my cv and remove any descriptions of work history that dates prior to 2018. At the beginning of the interview the recruiter told me that they werent able to go into details about the job as it was new and so this meant I only could ask general questions at the end of my screening call rather than role specific. The whole screening call felt like I was getting grilled for the layout of my cv rather than an interview. I appreciate feedback but I'd much prefer to ask for feedback rather than it be freely given in a critical way.
