I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Niki.ai (Bengaluru)
Interview
Round1: Assignment. Text Classification Models an EDA on the dataset that they provide
Round 2: Telephonic Interview - Questions on Projects and basic questions on Machine Learning and Deep Learning
Round 3: The HR said to me that they would like to have an NLP Coding round and to my surprise, they conducted a DS-Algo round.
The HR team also had no idea about the number of rounds I had completed till far. I had to remind them of that. Didn't expect that from a fast-growing start-up. Besides that, they don't respond to you for weeks about the outcome of the interviews. No constructive feedback as well.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Sentiment analysis problem, Vanishing gradients, Equations of back-propagation model, RNNs vs LSTMs, Different methods of converting words to numbers, Word Embeddings, Negative Sampling, Choice of cost functions for different models
They give you an NLP assignment which you need to solve. Once that is done they call you and schedule an interview. But that interview will never happens. God knows why? Even if you call HR she will say that she will revert by EOD. But that EOD never comes for her.
Applying to this company is just a waste of time for applicants
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Niki.ai (Bengaluru)
Interview
Round 1: They send an assignment on Text classification, which you will have to respond in one week.
Round 2:
Interviewer: A senior NLP engineer
Comments: They ask questions on your profile. In my case it was NLP.
Round 3:
Interviewer: A senior NLP engineer
Comments: They ask you to explain your projects in details and then give you some research paper, which you will have to explain them.
Final round:
Interviewer: Junior backend engineer(Maybe the intended person HOD was too busy to interview a senior NLP candidate :P )
Comments: They ask to code a difficult problem and ask really tricky questions on Algo-DS. This was a little surprising to me as most of the companies keep this in the first round of screening. Maybe they were full of the quota and looking for a reason to reject (the disinterest of HOD in interview process says it all).
