The interview process started by a brief phone interview with a recruiter, followed by a phone interview with the hiring manager. Then, 5 (1 hour long) interviews back to back with different members of management.
I would have to say that I was extremely disappointed with this process for such a large and reputable company. I was offered a position on a temp to perm basis and was told that they would be in touch with me regarding a rate and starting details.
A temp agency they utilize for temp to perm employees contacted me to go over pre-employment testing requirements and I completed a drug screen, background check, and new hire paperwork. I had continually followed-up with the agency as well as Nordson about a starting rate but they never provided one.
The Friday before I was supposed to start, I still had not received more information and received a permanent job offer from another company. I communicated this to Nordson and asked if they would consider a direct hire offer instead of temp to perm (keeping in mind I still hadn't received a rate) and they stated that the hiring manager would be in touch with me shortly to discuss.
The hiring manager never called me back and didn't answer any follow-up calls I made so being professional and communicative, I reached out to the temp agency to notify them that I would not be starting Monday due to no communication on the company's part. The temp agency notified me that they had already told them I had accepted another offer (which was not true at the time, I was still awaiting their response they had promised me).
Overall, a very unprofessional way to go about this process considering I had to go through 7 interviews during this process (5 were 1 hour interviews back-to-back with different people).
I was notified a few days later by someone I know that a family member of his had worked there and they are well-known for bringing on temps and not hiring them on so it's unlikely they would've ever considered a permanent position. I would not recommend considering this company (at least not in this department).
