I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Noribachi in Jan 2015
Interview
Initially applied online at the start of the week and was contacted mid week by the hiring manager via email who inquired about my credentials & availability for an interview. I was then invited for an interview scheduled at the end of that week on a Friday, but had to be rescheduled the following week (giving me time to do true research on the company). I decided this was definitely a company and position I really really wanted (and was a great fit) which I tried to express passionately in my interview confirmation emails to the hiring manager.
Showed up early for my interview, was greeted promptly and asked to wait in the front lobby. I was then invited to come sit in a conference room while the hiring manager finished up with a meeting. As I'd later find out, the company appears to be very dynamic in their hiring process (interviewing with x4 people including an engineer, hiring manager, VP of operations, and the CEO).
To begin the process, an engineer came in the room to start off talking with me about what I'd be doing and asking basic questions about my thoughts about it. The engineer then left and the hiring manager came in to begin the interview. I interviewed with the hiring manager for a while speaking about myself, how I would be a good fit as an engineer and why I wanted to work for the company. I was then taken on a very intriguing tour of the facility explaining many of the basic processes, product features and quality assurance protocols. I was then taken back to the conference room to assess my problem solving abilities regarding thermodynamics/heat transfer.
Next, the VP of Operations came in to interview me. Went over my resume and asked me basic questions regarding who I was and hoped to accomplish working at the company. Very friendly and engaging conversation. Was very comfortable, transparent and easy to talk with.
Finally, the CEO came in to interview me. Asked me why I was here and my the objectives I sought to accomplish at Noribachi. I told him that I saw the potential of the company and felt that I'd be able to make a difference if given a chance as an engineer. My ultimate career goal being to establish a career in manufacturing, benefit the company and address my personal values of establishing an ambitious/sense of accomplishment.
