Meet with the directors to figure out where you are in life and why you want to be on the substitute list. They explain how it works and that you don't ever have to work, it's completely up to you! As a substitute, you will be on a list, and when a teacher or assistant teacher calls in to work, they will contact you and ask you if you want to work for a whole day or half day depending on the teacher's schedule you are working for. You will work with ages from eight weeks old to four years old. They will also ask you what age group you prefer, and if you only want to work with that age group, that is completely fine.
