I applied online, the application took me through another website to fill out my information. After about a day, I got a text message from their local HR manager telling me that they would be in contact soon.
It ended up being about 2 weeks, but they finally came back and offered me an interview. I was asked to fill out a questionnaire they emailed me and to bring it with me, which I did.
During the interview, I was invited into his office, and he simply asked me some background questions, like why I was in EMS, what I like to do for fun, etc. Next, I was asked to complete a quick quiz, 50 multiple choice questions on some very basic scenarios and EMS terminology.
Afterwards, I was sent off to a local Urgent Care facility to take TB, Drug, and Pulmonary test. 2 days later, they contacted me and set up a time for my orientation (getting to know the rigs and their policies).
Throughout the process, they were very welcoming. In comparison to other interviews, I felt like they really wanted me, instead of them just trying to look impressive and make me want to work there. They were all very nice. I am very much excited to begin working for Northstar!
