Interview happened around March-2019
Got call from a HR who was working from home. Overall I had positive experience except the technical interview part.
Technical interviewer is so judgmental due to my past experience as automation tester, which is completely wrong. people do security testing as a part of automation team or QA team
Technical questions are not too depth or very simple. I got rejected, since may be my CTC is high along with other offers I was holding. Interview questions are nothing hard.
Interviewer asked about bug bounties and he pointed out I can learn more by doing bug bounties. What he has failed to understand is, without getting strong knowledge on fundamentals and web-app development concepts, it is not a good idea to jump into bug-bounties.
Anyway its not good to just a candidates skills by his bug-bounty experience.
I have interviewed few security analysts from this company while I worked for another organization after a year. Most of them are technically not great with their application security or pentesting concepts. They were only good at basics and nothing beyond owasp top 10. Which got me think like, I got rejected only because of their budget issues.
If we set aside the technical interview, I was delighted to know the results on next day that I was not selected, which is great. Almost 99% Indian IT companies never provide feedback to the candidates. This shows that NLTD has some great culture.
