Met with hiring manager, then 4 to 5 subsequent interviews with other company leaders. Scheduling seemed easy enough. Second-to-last meeting and a completely separate recruiter called to let me know no further interviews would be needed and they were going in a different direction. Pending meeting invites were not canceled. Nothing was submitted in writing. I followed up for feedback and never received any. Months later I receive a call from a recruiter who leaves a voicemail saying that they’re moving in a different direction. Bizarre.
