      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Huntsville, AL) in Jun 2020

      Interview

I am a former employee of Northrop and applied again. I applied through my referral account (this was not the position that I was referred to - however, applying within that account gave me some better visibility in their system I believe. My original account's application were overlooked or rejected). The process took approximately 3 weeks. I was emailed by the Talent Acquisition recruiter that there was initial interest in my resume (apparently I one of the firsts to apply) and set up a call. The call went over why I left Northrop, my salary expectations, and a little bit about my past experiences at Northrop and the new position. I was set up with an interview scheduled a week later. It was supposed to be a panel interview with 3, but only 2 were on the phone call: Hiring Manager and Cyber Architect. I talked through my resume. The questions asked were directly related to experiences in my resume. Be able to describe your experiences, and you should be set. Be confident and honest with your answers and you should be fine. Interviewed Friday, verbal offer on Monday. Currently waiting official offer.

I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Cincinnati, OH)

      Interview

Got referred through friend and got called for an interview. Object oriented programming question and few cybersecurity questions. Mix of both technical and behavioral questions. Overall pretty easy process in my opinion.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (San Antonio, TX) in Dec 2022

      Interview

Contact by a recruiter to set up an interview. The recruiter set me up for 9:30AM but send me confirmation email from 9:00AM. I wasted 30 minutes sitting in Team call. It was a red flag and feel like the team is incompetent. The salary i got was $18k less than other aerospace company. They did not want to negotiate. Overall bad experience and bad employee. I declined the offer.

      Cyber Software Engineer I Interview

      9 Aug 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman

      Interview

This is for a position in the Ohio location. There were two interviews: 1. Phone Screening 2. Panel Interview The phone screen was mainly to look over at your resume, not too difficult. The panel interview was more of a technical interview, testing how you think and how clearly you can communicate. They are also testing your "cultural fit", so it is best to act passionate about the position. There were no coding exercises.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Q: What is the difference between TCP and UDP? Q: What is the difference between a router and a switch? Q: If we had a black box, where you can only feed it inputs and observe the outputs, how would you figure out the underlying functionality? Q: Why are you interested in working here? Q: What is a race condition and how would you solve one? Q: What programming language are you most proficient in? Q: Are you acquainted with reverse engineering? Q: What keywords in C are used to allocate/deallocate memory? What about C++? Q: Have you ever worked in teams? What did you like/dislike about them?
