A recruiter called me with few to no details about what the job entailed or what the hiring managers were looking for. After mentioning I had experience with a scheduling tool they use, I was offered two back-to-back interviews with the two hiring managers. The first one asked me to 'tell me about myself', only to stop me 30 seconds in to ask me 'What job do you think you're applying for?'. That set the tone for the rest of the interview, and immediately laid bare that she hadn't bothered to read my resume before taking an hour of our time. This was made more clear when she explained that she was looking for someone with a patient-facing background working in a medical practice, which I have never set foot inside of as an employee. Overall, the interview was an embarrassing waste of everyone's time and exposed the dumpster fire that is Northwell's talent acquisition process. By the way, I've had a number of similar interview experiences there - this is just the worst one!
