I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Sacramento, CA) in Apr 2012
Interview
Everybody was really nice there, kind of unorganized though. Had multiple mix ups with interview times and had to reschedule. Seems like a great place to work if you want to get into insurance sales. The intern position is strictly insurance sales, and they pay 100 a week if you show up to the weekly meeting, everything else is commission based. Both of the people I interviewed with were very nice, the interviews were not difficult and they just want to hear that you are a go getter and are willing to make tons of calls.
Straightforward process, interviewed with them on campus. They provided the information I needed. I decided to not move ahead with the interview process as it did not align with my goals, but the interviewers were cordial and professional.
Felt like they were selling me something the whole time. Super easy to talk to, but something just felt off the whole time. Had multiple phases of them explaining why they're so perfect and great to work for (massive selection bias in some of their numbers)
