      Procurement Interview

      20 Feb 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Derby, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Norton Motorcycle (Derby, England) in Nov 2018

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter and invited for an interview within a couple of days. At first it seemed OK despite the fact we were sitting in an empty building with only a small fan heater to stay warm. The questions were standard. The interviewer was new to the company and not very clear on what he was looking for. Then came the weird bit. He took me on a 'tour' of the very strange set up (a production line in a carpeted room) and whilst I was in there with him the CEO was in the corner of the room. I really got the feeling there was a 'thumbs down' given behind my back because suddenly the mood changed and the interviewer completely disengaged. I was glad to get out of there. Not surprisingly I got an Email that same day saying I wasn't suitable for the role. I wouldn't have taken it anyway. Dreadful place and I'm not surprised they've now gone bust.
