I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Norwalk Community College in Feb 2019
Interview
Basically simple, asked me about my qualifications and experiences that best reflected my abilities as an assistant. Started with a phone interview, then an in person interview. They notified me about a week after the first interview, then followed up on the second interview about a week after that.
I applied online. I interviewed at Norwalk Community College (Norwalk, CT) in Jul 2017
Interview
It was a panel interview with a variety of current teachers, administrators and classroom parents. My interview was approximately 30 minutes. It was a tad strange but the current director was not there and they flat out refused to mention why this position was open. There were many typical early childhood teaching questions. They did tend to ask multi-faceted questions with many topics to hit in one answer. I felt like by the time I was answering the first part of her question I already forgot the other 2-3 parts!

I applied online. I interviewed at Norwalk Community College (Norwalk, CT) in Feb 2016
Interview
My first interview was with a committee of six members, representing the Financial Aid Department, Business Office, Admissions, IT and Human Resources Department. There was a total of approximately thirty questions asked collectively, each one of them had a list of questions already prepared and they were writing down each of my answers.
My last interview was with the college president and the Dean of Administration. The interview lasted about forty five minutes with an emphasis on how my experience will assist not just the financial aid department but also, on how to improve collectively the current enrollment process.
