Nutrislice interview questions

First phone interview was with the hiring manager. It seemingly went well, he shared about the position and asked about my qualifications. He told me he’d follow up with me the following week, but instead completely ghosted me. I sent him an initial thank you message then later another one asking for an update. Both went unanswered. Very unprofessional. I understand there are a lot of candidates but a simple “we’re going with another candidate” copy and paste e-mail would’ve been perfectly fine, and not leaving candidates waiting.
