Question 1
What KPIs must company X hit to raise a series A round and how it can achieve them?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Octopus in Feb 2023
Interview
The process included four stages. It began with an initial HR interview covering my background, motivations, and fit for the firm. I was then asked to provide supplemental information detailing my investing experience and prior deal work. Next, I met with two members of the investment team for technical discussions on sourcing, diligence, and sector perspectives. The final stage was an interview with the Partner leading the team, focused on investment philosophy, strategic alignment, and team culture.

Question 1
How would you approach sourcing deal flow for our team?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Octopus (London, England) in Oct 2010
Interview
Initial approach from recruiter - consisted of a c.45min conversation covering general career history, background and skills. First interview with Octopus was a 60min screening interview with HR - very friendly, easy going, not too probing. Second interview was 60min with head of team. Very nice guy, although a little cold/detached at times. Sensed concern that their rapid growth might negatively impact their culture - although this was something they were aware of.
