I applied online. I interviewed at Office for National Statistics in Feb 2026
Interview
I applied online and was asked to complete an online skills test. I was then invited to complete an online group Dissemination Test followed by an interview of competence and behavioral questions as well as a presentation on the data from the dissemination test. All of this was done virtually. I found the majority of the interviewers to be quite rude and impatient, not just to me but to the other candidates in the dissemination test also. The tone of interview really downgraded my experience with interviewers appearing condescending and pushy, with one rolling her eyes multiple times throughout to my answers and follow up questions. I struggled with one question and openly said I was unsure to which the interviewer repeatedly asked me the question and refused to move forwards until I gave a satisfactory/made up answer. Many of the questions asked appeared to repeat themselves, however I was not allowed to use the same example/experience for more than one question throughout.

I applied online. I interviewed at Office for National Statistics (Titchfield, England) in Nov 2025
Interview
Zoom interview with 2 women, one SEO grade . Before the start of the interview they checked my system to see I have no AI website to help me with the interview. It was very lenghly and the women kept asking me to explain each answer I have, they were asking me question related to 4 civil service behaviours they said they would in the interview invite but it was not a staright forward question for eg: can you gie me a time when you communicated effectively and influenced a decision instead they asked scenario based question and I had to figure out which civil service behaviour they were talking about and then answer the question which I found a little annoying. Also I don't think they prepared for the interview well they were very slow and kept reading and re reading the question and seemed they did not know what they were doing and had some terrible accent
