I applied online for a position, and the recruiter contacted me to arrange a 1:1 Zoom interview to discuss the qualifications. The recruiter was nice, friendly, and promised to get back to me within a day or so. The next day, I received an email asking for my availability for an hour-long, all-in-one interview with the hiring manager. This interview was mostly behavioral and focused on my previous experience. I felt confident about passing this step, so I immediately emailed the recruiter and coordinator to share my experience and inquire about the next steps, but I received no response.
A few days later, I received an email from CodeSignal inviting me to complete a coding challenge for Okta. I immediately emailed the recruiter and coordinator to confirm the invitation was legitimate, but again, there was no response. I completed the assessment the same day, passing all the test cases, and once again emailed the recruiter and coordinator to inform them, but received no response.
After a few more days, I received an email stating that they had decided to move forward with other candidates, despite the hiring manager telling me that they had 3-4 open roles and would hire anyone who was good. I replied politely, expressing my disappointment and requesting feedback, but I am still waiting for an answer.
What frustrates me is not the rejection, but the lack of responsiveness from the company. My advice: don't waste your time with this company—they are not trustworthy.
