Had an interview for the role in January at the Cheltenham (UK) site but lost out to someone who had more experience in a contract role. Interviewer was very abrasive and gave the impression that they didn’t want me for the role, so was surprised to be given feedback that it was only down to being in long term roles that I wasn’t selected.
Received a call in April to say that it hadn’t worked out with the chosen candidate and they wanted to see if I was available. Given a couple of hours notice to prepare for the interview and, at the end of the interview, pressure was put on me to accept the role despite advising I had to tie up some loose ends and would let them know ASAP.
I advised the recruiter within a couple of hours that I was able to start the following week but then received silence from Ontic for 24 hours. Turns out they had quickly brought someone else in for interview and offered them the role instead. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR!
