Got a call that they decided to move on with another candidate for the role (I see that it was just re-posted , so hmmmm....), but they loved my experience and wanted to offer a different role. The recruiter basically said they want folks to start at the bottom before putting them in leadership roles, so offered a sales position that was basically minimum wage with (the hope) of commission, doing outbound calls. It sounds like the initial job posting is just to get people applying that they could never hope to if they advertised the real job. Bait and switch.
