      Senior QA Analyst Interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Open Education (Buenos Aires) in Jun 2013

      Interview

The whole hiring process was pretty straightforward. I was working as a QA analyst in another company but was looking for a change so I contacted a staffing agency I had had a really good experience with in the past and they told me they had an opening for Open English. I was skeptic at first as everything I knew about the company came from the TV commercials but accepted the interview offer anyway. Man am I glad I did it. The first interview was with the two girls in charge of human resources at the time. It mostly consisted of a brief introduction about the company and the product they sell followed by the standard questions to get to know the candidate. It was pretty casual and relaxed. Second interview was with two people in their QA department. We went over my experience in the area, how I used to work and how Open English works. Lots of questions about tools, methodologies and best practices but nothing particularly hard or obscure. It was immediately followed by an interview with the delivery manager for the team that I would be joining. That one was less technical and more about business side. A couple of days later I got an invite for another meeting over email and was extended a formal offer (and for a better pay than what I had asked for before) then we settled on a start date that worked for both parties and that was it.
