Recruiter reached out to me via email and had a first call. Next steps were a take home exercise that got I had to present on a call. After that, the next round was I had to identify bugs in code without actually writing any code myself.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at OpenAI (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2025

They were very clear and direct. I didn't make it past the first round, but they updated me immediately that they weren't moving forward and that my expertise could be applied to other roles.
