I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at OpenText (Waterloo, ON) in May 2018
Interview
I applied online on LinkedIn for the ADR position at the Waterloo head office location. Overall, I thought the HR process took too long, and the HR representative who I was coordinating with each interview round was very unprofessional. For the first round and others, the HR rep tried to schedule me last minute for interviews which shows lack of preparation and professional courtesy as I do work in my current job and I would like to give notice to my manager when leaving the office. After the final interview (5th round), the executives who I met as well as the same HR professional did not get back to me if I got the job offer, and I personally had to follow up with the HR rep on LinkedIn to see if the position was filled since no one responded to my follow up emails I sent within the past two weeks.
To me, this lack of accountability really signifies that there is no appreciation for other peoples' time, and bad communication within the organization. I am glad I did not get the offer, because I would like to be employed at a company where its employees act and behave like true professionals.
I will never be applying to other positions at this company again. If this lack of professional courtesy and respect persists, do not be surprised to loose out on hiring talented candidates as well as retaining good employees in your organization.
Extensive and a lot of effort gor candidates, but transparent and efficient. The whole process took probably a week, there were 3 stages, at 2 of whicv you had to prepare presentations, an offer was made on the same day of the final interview.
