I applied on Linkedin. After reviewing the profile, the HR contacted me for one assessment. 1-2 weeks later she sent me the assessment link. I cleared it and sent me a link for the technical interview with one lead engineer and one manager all from different countries. The interview experience was top notch. It was more of a discussion. I was amazed by the interviewers because they were knowledgeable. I got a call next day stating I have been selected for the position. But they did not release the offer letter. They kept me waiting. I called the HR multiple times just wanted to know about the status of my offer letter. She always said don't worry we will release the offer letter but it will be delayed. After one month she called me saying we may have an open position. She again discussed the salary and all. We also discussed about the joining date. But after 3-4 days when I again contact the HR, she told you won't be getting the offer letter. The reason she told their are candidates asking much lower than what you ask. Your expectation is very high. This is what the company culture is. Decision is yours if you want to join or not.
