I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Optiver (Austin, TX) in Jul 2025
Interview
- OA: Three separate rounds. One round is for probability/statistics based questions, next round is for sequences (filling in the next number in the sequence, progressively gets harder), and the third round is a series of timed brain games.
- Round 1: Sports betting/dutch book type of game. Evaluate changing odds for events to take place and figure out how much money you should be betting on each of those events.

The process is hard but exciting. The first online assessment contians bits of coding, quick game skills aswell as logic tests. Overall a good process, but very challenging. D d
OA is extremely difficult.
Two medium questions and one hard question.
Followed by lots of probability and statistics questions.
Then logic questions.
